Fleet
Management Auto Body Shop is located in Window Rock, Arizona north
of the Fleet Management's Administrative Office. Our facility consists
of two buildings, the older building is a five bay shop with a paint
booth and prep station. The newer building was built in 1992 and
consists of two bays, two offices, and a parts room.
We provide service to
all 1,827 Navajo Nation Fleet vehicles from all agencies in the
fields of major and minor auto body repairs, fram straightening,
welding services, glass replacement, window tinting, painting &
refinishing, and providing costs of estimated damages. Our shop
is operated by five auto body technicians, an accounting person,
and a shop manager.
Our facility also has
a recently installed self service car washing system, with a vaccum.
We furnish all the latest detailing products for your convenience
to keep the nation's vehicles clean for professional appearance.
To offer services in
a reasonable time we recommend that our clients arrange minor repairs
by appointment well in advance. Additionally, we request that all
documentation be submitted promptly to our Office and Risk Management
whom provides the self insured auto physical damage policy, to avoid
any delays for approval of repairs.
Our team is focused on
friendly customer service, in a wholesome environment, and provides
quality workmenship for customer satisfaction. We are always looking
to improve our facility and services by keeping updated with the
safety laws, keeping our staff well educated in latest auto body
repair techniques. We use the latest estimating technology in the
business, the Mitchell Ultra Mate Estimating software, to assure
that vehicles are repaired properly and by using the state of the
art equipment. |
Window
Rock Fleet Management mechanic shop was established approximately
in 1960 when it was known as Transportation Motor Pool. Navajo Tribal
Utility Authority had used this facility before it has grown from
four (4) service bays and an alignment bay to nine (9) bays and
one (1) alignment bay.
Currently there are three
(3) small front offices which serves as a supervisor's office, accounting
office and service write up office.
We have sixteen employees
(16) : one (1) fleet service manager, one office specialist, one
(1) parts supervisor, one (1) parts clerk, two (2) fleet service
workers and nine (9) senior automotive technicians.

We provide
and are responsible for the maintenance and fueling of all Navajo
Nation Vehicles and certain chapter vehicles. In addition, we provide
for towing and recovery service (24) hours a day, seven (7) days
a week.
Our maintenance includes
a computerized service system that control over 100,000 pieces of
parts and equipment. The preventative maintenance services "A",
"B", "C", schedule depends on their programs
to help reduced downtime, schedule preventive maintenance; contains
operation costs, controls parts inventory and keeps track of labor
activity and vendors usded.
We are responsible for
approximately eight hundred (800) vehicles for maintenance and repairs.

Maintenance
parking is provided on the north side of the mechanic shop, after
maintenance is requested, fill out a form with information on the
vehicle.
Private vehicles are
not allowed inside fence in area or service area.
Over night parking for
tribal vehicles is okay, park vehicles in spaces available, not
in driveways. Fleet Management is not responsible for any items
stolen or damage. |
